Dr. Rita Kanbar is the founder of Lebanon Dental Studio. She holds a Diploma in Dental Surgery and a Specialized Master’s (MSc) in Aesthetic and Prosthetic Dentistry from Beirut, along with professional training in Botox and Fillers. She is known for her artistic, detail-focused approach to smile design and prosthodontic care.
Our team is multilingual and communicates fluently in Arabic, English, and French. This makes the clinic an especially good fit for expats, visiting patients, and international clients.
Three things set Lebanon Dental Studio apart. First, Dr. Kanbar’s dual specialization in aesthetic and prosthetic dentistry allows her to plan smile transformations that are both beautiful and functionally sound. Second, the clinic is equipped with advanced diagnostic technology and a dedicated on-site dental photography studio for precise documentation. Third, the practice takes a genuinely personalized approach — each treatment plan is tailored to the patient’s goals, lifestyle, and budget.
Yes, parking is available near the building. Because the clinic is directly accessible from the highway, most patients find it easy to reach and park, even during busy hours.
No referral is required. Patients can book directly by calling or sending a WhatsApp message to +961 71 677261. We welcome both new and returning patients without any prior referral.

Appointments & Your First Visit
Booking, what to expect, and how to prepare
Booking is simple. You can call or WhatsApp us directly at +961 71 677261, email info@lebanondentalstudio.com, or fill out the contact form on our website. We typically respond within a few hours during business days.
Your first visit begins with a thorough consultation. Dr. Kanbar will review your dental and medical history, perform a comprehensive oral examination, and take any necessary diagnostic images. You’ll then receive a personalized treatment plan with clear explanations, options, and timeline. The entire first visit usually takes 30–60 minutes.
Please bring a valid ID, a list of any medications you currently take, and any previous dental X-rays or records if available. If you have specific concerns or goals for your smile, bringing reference photos can also be helpful.
Appointment length depends on the procedure. A routine cleaning takes about 45 minutes. A consultation for cosmetic or restorative work runs 45–60 minutes. More involved procedures like veneer placement or implant surgery may require 1–3 hours. We always give you an estimated duration when booking.
Yes, we do our best to accommodate urgent cases on the same day. For dental emergencies — severe pain, a broken tooth, or a knocked-out tooth — call or WhatsApp us immediately at +961 71 677261 and we will fit you in as quickly as possible.
We ask that you give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. This allows us to offer the time to another patient. Repeated last-minute cancellations may require a deposit for future bookings.
Dental Anxiety & Patient Comfort
For patients who are nervous about dental visits
Dental anxiety is one of the most common reasons people avoid the dentist, and we take it seriously. Dr. Kanbar is known for her gentle, calm approach. We take extra time to explain each step before it happens, the clinic environment is intentionally designed to be serene rather than clinical, and we never rush patients. Simply telling us about your anxiety at the start of your visit allows us to adjust our pace and communication accordingly.
Modern dentistry has advanced significantly, and most treatments today are nearly painless. We use effective local anesthetics and topical numbing agents before any injections. Many patients who were anxious about pain tell us afterward that they felt nothing during the procedure. If pain is a particular concern for you, please mention it during your consultation.
We offer various comfort options for patients who need additional support during treatment. Please discuss your specific concerns during your consultation so we can recommend the approach that’s right for you.
Absolutely. Many patients feel more comfortable with a family member or friend present, and we welcome that. If you’re bringing a child for treatment, a parent is always encouraged to accompany them.
Cosmetic Dentistry
| Veneers, whitening, smile makeovers, and aesthetic treatments |
A Hollywood smile refers to a full cosmetic smile transformation — typically a combination of veneers, whitening, and sometimes crowns, to create a bright, uniform, symmetrical smile. Yes, Lebanon Dental Studio specializes in Hollywood smile makeovers and has transformed many patients’ smiles using Emax veneers and other advanced aesthetic techniques.
The cost of veneers depends on the material (Emax, other porcelain, or composite), the number of teeth involved, and the complexity of the case. For accurate pricing tailored to your specific situation, please contact us for a consultation. We’ll provide a clear, transparent estimate before any work begins.
Emax veneers are thin porcelain shells that offer superior translucency, durability, and stain resistance. They typically last 15–20 years with proper care. Composite veneers are made from tooth-colored resin applied directly to the tooth. They’re more affordable and can be done in a single visit, but they don’t last as long and may need touch-ups over time. During your consultation, we’ll recommend the option that best fits your goals and budget.
High-quality Emax and porcelain veneers typically last 15–20 years or more with proper oral hygiene and regular checkups. Composite veneers generally last 5–10 years. Avoiding habits like nail-biting, teeth grinding, and chewing on hard objects significantly extends their lifespan.
Yes, professional teeth whitening performed by a qualified dentist is safe. The concentrations used, the protection of your gums during treatment, and the monitoring of results all make professional whitening significantly safer than over-the-counter products. Some patients experience temporary sensitivity, which typically resolves within a few days.
In-office blue light bleaching delivers dramatic results in a single 45–60 minute session, under professional supervision. Take-home whitening kits use custom-fitted trays and professional-grade gel for gradual whitening over 1–2 weeks. In-office treatment is faster and more effective; take-home is more convenient and often gentler for sensitive teeth. Both are offered at Lebanon Dental Studio.
Yes, but with important considerations. Whitening agents only lighten natural tooth enamel — they don’t change the color of fillings, crowns, or veneers. This means existing restorations may look darker than your whitened teeth afterward. We recommend whitening first, then replacing any visible restorations to match your new, brighter shade. A consultation helps us plan the right order for your specific case.
Dental Implants & Oral Surgery
Tooth replacement, extractions, and surgical procedures
A dental implant is a small titanium post surgically placed into the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. Once the implant fuses with the bone (a process called osseointegration, which takes 3–6 months), a custom crown is attached to it. The result looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth. Implants are considered the gold standard for replacing missing teeth.
With proper care, dental implants can last 25 years or more — often a lifetime. The implant post itself rarely fails when placed correctly and maintained well. The crown attached to the implant may need replacement every 15–20 years depending on wear. Daily brushing, flossing, and regular professional cleanings are essential for long-term implant success.
Most adults with missing teeth are candidates for implants. The key requirements are healthy gums and sufficient jawbone to support the implant. If bone loss has occurred, a bone graft may be needed first. Certain conditions like uncontrolled diabetes or heavy smoking can affect implant success. The best way to know if implants are right for you is a consultation where we evaluate your specific case with diagnostic imaging.
All-on-4 and All-on-6 are full-arch hybrid prosthesis solutions for patients who have lost most or all of their teeth in the upper or lower jaw. Instead of placing an implant for every missing tooth, 4 (or 6) strategically positioned implants support a full fixed bridge of teeth. The result is permanent, stable, and restores both chewing function and appearance without the need for removable dentures. Lebanon Dental Studio specializes in these full-arch solutions.
Bone grafting is a procedure that rebuilds bone in areas where it has been lost — usually due to missing teeth, gum disease, or trauma. It’s often necessary before placing dental implants if the jawbone isn’t thick or dense enough to securely hold the implant. The grafted bone integrates with your natural bone over several months, creating a strong foundation for the implant.
Not everyone needs wisdom teeth removed. Removal is typically recommended when wisdom teeth are impacted (stuck beneath the gum or at an angle), causing pain, crowding other teeth, or difficult to keep clean. If they have grown in fully, are positioned correctly, and can be properly cleaned, they can often stay. A panoramic X-ray during your consultation helps us make an accurate recommendation.
Immediately after extraction, a gauze pad is placed to help a blood clot form. Some bleeding, swelling, and mild discomfort are normal for 24–48 hours. We provide detailed aftercare instructions, including what to eat, how to clean the area, and which activities to avoid. Most patients return to normal activities within 2–3 days. We’re always available if you have any concerns during recovery.
Common Dental Problems
Symptoms, prevention, and when to seek care
For any dental emergency — severe pain, swelling, a knocked-out tooth, a broken tooth, or a lost filling or crown — contact us immediately at +961 71 677261. For a knocked-out tooth, keep it moist (in milk or saliva) and come in within 30–60 minutes for the best chance of saving it. For severe pain or swelling with fever, seek care right away as this can indicate a serious infection.
Bleeding gums are the earliest sign of gingivitis, the first stage of gum disease. Other causes include brushing too hard, starting a new flossing routine, hormonal changes, vitamin deficiencies, or certain medications. Healthy gums should not bleed. If bleeding persists for more than a couple of weeks, book a checkup — early treatment is simple and completely reversible.
Chronic bad breath (halitosis) usually has a dental cause that can be treated. The most common causes include gum disease, bacteria on the tongue, leaking dental restorations, hidden cavities, and dry mouth. Mouthwash only masks the problem temporarily. A thorough dental examination can identify the underlying cause so it can be treated properly — and the bad breath eliminated.
Tooth sensitivity typically results from exposed dentin, which can happen due to enamel erosion, gum recession, cavities, cracked teeth, or recent dental work. It can also be a sign of teeth grinding. A dental exam identifies the cause so we can recommend the right treatment — which may range from desensitizing toothpaste to fluoride application or restorative work.
Teeth grinding (bruxism) can cause significant damage to your teeth, dental work, and jaw joints over time. The most effective treatment is a custom-fitted night guard, which cushions your teeth from grinding forces during sleep. We also evaluate your bite alignment and stress factors. Addressing grinding early preserves your natural teeth and prevents more costly damage down the road.
TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorder affects the joint connecting your jaw to your skull. Symptoms include jaw pain, clicking or popping sounds, limited mouth opening, headaches, and ear pain. Yes, Lebanon Dental Studio offers diagnosis and management of TMJ disorders, including bite evaluation, custom splints, and treatment plans tailored to the underlying cause.
Pediatric Dentistry
Dental care for children
We recommend bringing your child for their first dental visit by age 1, or within 6 months of their first tooth erupting. Early visits help your child become comfortable with the dental environment, allow us to monitor development, and establish good oral habits from the start. These early visits are gentle, short, and focused on building trust
Yes, Lebanon Dental Studio provides pediatric dental care including routine checkups, preventive treatments (fluoride, sealants), early orthodontic assessment, habit correction (thumb-sucking, tongue-thrusting), and space maintainers. Our approach with children is patient, gentle, and designed to build positive associations with dental care.
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first orthodontic evaluation around age 7. At this age, we can identify any developing issues and determine whether early intervention would be beneficial. Not every child needs early treatment, but an evaluation helps us plan ahead for the best timing — whether that’s now, in a few years, or later during the teen years.
Fissure sealants are thin, protective coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of back teeth (molars). They seal deep grooves where food and bacteria can get trapped, significantly reducing the risk of cavities. Sealants are especially beneficial for children shortly after their permanent molars come in. The application is quick, painless, and can protect teeth for years.
Payment, Pricing & Insurance
What to expect regarding costs and payment
Treatment costs depend on the specific procedure, materials used, and complexity of the case. Rather than quoting generic prices, we provide a clear, personalized estimate during your consultation — before any work begins. This ensures you know exactly what to expect and can make an informed decision. Please contact us to book a consultation.
We accept multiple payment methods for your convenience. Please contact us for the most current accepted methods and to discuss payment arrangements that work for your situation.
For comprehensive treatments such as full smile makeovers, dental implants, or full-arch restorations, we understand the investment involved. We’re happy to discuss payment arrangements that help make treatment accessible. Please bring up your preferences during your consultation.
Insurance coverage for dental care varies widely depending on your specific policy and provider. We’re happy to provide the documentation you need to submit claims to your insurance. Please contact us with your provider details so we can discuss what’s applicable to your situation.
For Expats & International Patients
Dental care for visitors and those living abroad
Absolutely. A significant portion of our patient base consists of Lebanese expats returning home for dental work and international patients traveling specifically for treatment. Our multilingual team, flexible scheduling, and ability to coordinate care within a visitor’s time in Lebanon make us well-suited for international patients. Many expats combine dental treatment with family visits.
In many cases, yes. Treatments like teeth whitening can be completed in a single visit. Composite veneers can typically be done in one or two appointments. Emax veneers and crowns usually require 2–3 visits over about 1–2 weeks. For more complex cases involving implants, we coordinate the timing to fit your schedule, sometimes spreading visits across multiple trips.
We make it easy. You can send us photos of your smile, any existing dental records or X-rays, and a description of your goals via WhatsApp or email. We’ll provide a preliminary assessment, treatment options, and an estimated timeline before you travel. This allows us to schedule efficiently so you can make the most of your time in Lebanon.
Yes. Lebanon offers high-quality dental care at significantly lower costs than Europe, North America, and much of the Gulf, while maintaining international standards. Dentists in Lebanon are typically trained in Europe or at prestigious Lebanese universities, use the same materials and technologies as Western clinics, and communicate in multiple languages. Combined with Lebanon’s cultural richness and cuisine, it’s an attractive destination for dental tourism.
